The Assembly Elections 2023 in all five states - Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram is slated to take place between November 7 and 30, and are likely to set the ground for 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
So who is coming to power in these elections? Let’s look at what opinion polls are saying.

BJP is likely to return in MP

When it comes to Madhya Pradesh, majority of opinion polls (NDTV-CSDS Lokniti Poll, IndiaTV-CNX & Times Now) suggest BJP is looking at a full majority in the state and retaining the government.

According to the opinion poll conducted by Times Now, BJP is likely to win 153 seats and Congress could win 58. For the 230 seats assembly, the majority mark is 113.

What about Rajasthan?

In Rajasthan Elections 2023, the survey revealed that the BJP is slated to win around 127 to 137 constituencies in the 200-member Assembly, while the Congress is likely to bag between 59 to 69 seats with a vote share of 42%.

It is pertinent to note that the majority mark for a political party to form the government in Rajasthan is 101.

A tough battle in Chhattisgarh

BJP is expected to win around 39 to 45 seats out of 90 constituencies of Chhattisgarh with a 43% vote share, while the Congress can secure 45 to 51 seats with over 45% of votes.

The ABP-CVoter opinion poll data showed that Mizoram is expected to witness a hung assembly as no political party is expected to secure a complete majority.

No ground for BJP in Telangana?

The opinion poll data indicates that the BJP will fail to create its notable existence in Telangana where the party is projected to win only 5 to 11 seats out of 119 constituencies.

It is expected to be a tough political contest between BRS and Congress, who can secure 43 to 55 seats and 48 to 60 seats respectively.
